Minor Injury Service
The surgery provides treatment for minor injuries. This helps to avoid the need for you to travel to hospital and reduces pressure on the A&E department.
The following list gives examples of the types of minor injuries we are able to assess and treat. In some cases we may refer you to hospital for further treatment.
- Foreign Bodies
- Minor Head Injury
- Eye Injury
- Burns and Scalds
- Minor Trauma to Body including hands/limbs/feet
- Whiplash/RTA injuries
Patient Participation Group Meeting
The last Pateient Participation Group Meeting was on Wednesday 22nd April @ 6.30 at Huntingdon Road. Dr Connan hosted a Q&A Session, and our Office Manager gave a presentation on the updated website; its content, and the value to Patients of registering with SystmOnline.
The next Patient Participation Group Meeting will be on Wednesday 15th July 2015 @ 6.30pm about coping with Hearing Loss. Frances Dewhurst, Director of Cambridgeshire Hearing Help will guide us in an entertaining evening of learning, discussion and questions as we find out more about living with hearing loss. It promises to be very enjoyable; please do come along.
Registered patients are now able to book routine appointments with their usual GP online.
This service uses SystmOnline, the online repeat prescription request service. If you already order your repeat prescriptions on line you will automatically have access to the appointment booking section.

Central Reception for all telephone calls to both Huntingdon Road and Girton Surgeries
To help improve confidentiality for incoming telephone calls, all calls to Girton and Huntingdon Road surgeries are being handled by our Central Reception team at Huntingdon Road.
Both the Girton number 01223 277449 and the Huntingdon Road number 01223 364127 will be answered.
To facilitate this the reception desk at Girton now closes at 11.45am; the Dispensary hours remain the same, open until 1.00pm.
